“With our new Dutch-style cheese production line design, we wanted to achieve a higher level of technological advancement with even more precise cheese portioning. From this, our customers can minimise losses of the final product, and at the same time deliver a product to the market with a perfectly measured weight, without reducing the overall efficiency of the machine.” Said Krzysztof Kisiel, Design Department Manager at Tewes-Bis.
“For this reason, we needed a solution for the cheese cutting module that would be able to perfectly control the cutting speed, its stroke and force. Pneumatic solutions have so far provided us with satisfactory results but have not allowed us to exceed a certain performance level. Therefore, we decided to look for a business partner who could provide us with such a solution based on servomotor technology, while at the same time meeting our control requirements and, most importantly, meet the stringent demands for hygiene and corrosion resistance when in contact with cleaning media.
“Due to the fact that these cheese production lines are very complex multi-technology machines, we were looking for a partner who would provide us with pre-assembled, plug-in solutions, already tested before shipment, and save us time. Camozzi Automation turned out to be such a company.
“The key for us was Camozzi Automation's commitment to designing an actuator from scratch in accordance with our guidelines and provide a ready-made, dedicated solution that perfectly met our needs. The design stage was preceded by performance calculations, expected lifetime data and delivery of several 3D models. Together with the Camozzi Automation’s design department, we discussed every detail introduced to ensure corrosion resistance. As a result, we were 100% convinced that the proposed solution would meet our needs, and the line offered by us would provide much greater accuracy and efficiency than the existing ones."
